Chong Kok Kopitiam at Jalan Stesen, Klang

If you guys google about Chong Kok Kopitiam, there are quite a lot of reviews about it. This kopitiam is famous for it's traditional coffee, bread and nasi lemak. Some of my friends talked about it but I did not have a chance to try it out until recently. What tempted me to try it? Well, it's a picture of the nasi lemak posted by one of my senior not long ago.

Chong Kok Kopitiam.

Lets start with the nasi lemak. It's self-service, meaning they don't take orders on the table. Heck, they are too busy to take orders from the table. So you will have to line up. Let me show you the line:

The wait!

The nasi lemak is not too spicy. For those who prefer spicy nasi lemak, I don't think this is suitable for you. Then again it's quite good.

However, the thing the caught my taste is the coffee and the steam bread. It's not the nasi lemak in the end.

Chong Kok coffee.

The coffee is so thick and full of aroma that you will never go back to Starbucks, Coffee Bean or even Old Town at all. I just had the coffee this morning and the aroma still dances around my taste bud. Cloud nine, dude! No wonder you have to be there by 7am or you will be in this situation:

Standing around tables waiting for a place. It doesn't look nice making the patron 'galloping' their food fast to give you the place but this is what people will do for nice Klang food!

Come early or be like this!

By the way, the person that makes the coffee is one fully white haired uncle. I bet he must have mastered the art of coffee making to be called 'sifu' with that white hair of his.

Lastly, the steam bread.

The soft like silk steam bread with classic kaya.

This steam bread makes Old Town run for their money. Simply delicious!

This the map to get there. Red star marks the kopitiam:

It's near Seng Huat Restaurant.

By the way, some blogs said that this place is 'tanggung halah'. Well, it should be true since I do see many Malay families having their breakfast there.
